DIY Chalkboard Easel Re-Do

It's snowing! We haven't had much snow around here this winter (this is our second round of snow) so it's pretty exciting!

Here's a picture of my little sisters making a snowman:

We found an old chalkboard easel next to a pre-school's dumpster. After we had painted it, my dad said he had seen it somewhere. What do you know, he had passed by the pre- school earlier, seen the chalkboard and decided to pass it up. 

 This is why he passed it up...

But since I sell chalkboards in my Etsy shop, we happened to have chalkboard paint. We used the roll on kind because then we only had to tape the edges of the board instead of the whole thing. Plus I think you get more for your money out of a can of paint, though there is more clean-up involved afterwards.

We painted both sides with chalkboard paint, but we are using one side for paper so the kids can draw with regular crayons.

We are using an old clip to hold up the paper.

This is the first drawing they made on the board.

These crayons are made especially for chalkboards and white boards.

And this is the first drawing I made on the chalkboard.... with the chalkboard crayons...Ta-Da!
